This WP3 includes some activities that will be done in parallel to WP5.
This work package aims to provide suitable and innovative teaching resources to foster establishing new program of Plant Clinic education and collaborations through the training and technology transfer and innovations among the network stakeholders and higher education institutions.
Through the staff/students training scheme that will offers professional development opportunities for academic and professional services staff/students to improve the skills required for their current job by participating in joint training program by experts from EU and Egypt partners.
Training may take the form of:
- A short secondment period of experts if needed
- Attendance at workshops or courses
- Attendance of staff training
Training programming will be built around:
- The transfer of knowledge and good practise
- Learning from shared experience
- The acquiring of new practical skills
- To discovery of new ideas for teaching and learning
Each university will take the responsibility for the success of this WP3. The objective will be achieved at first by a review of available technical capacity and suitable training methodologies based on benchmark study of WP1.
The following outcomes will be transformed into critical collection of activities in WP3 related with:
- Acad. staff Trained on ECTS by EU experts
- Training the Trainers (TTT) of DPCP program trained by EU/Egypt joint program;
- Technicians trained on new equipment’s and maintenance.
- Administrative staff trained on ECTS and new program catalogue rules at Egypt universities.
- e-learning developers trained at Egypt partner universities
Milestone of WP3 will be in project Years 2 during M8-M112 for a set of deliverables of tasks (3.1-3.5) and from M12-M18 for a set of deliverable of tasks (3.6-3.10) to monitor the quality and delivery without delay.

Tasks
All partners will participate and engage in this core WP of the project.
We will focus on foundational aspects and on building the practical and technical skills needed for the design and implementation of Plant Clinics building capacity. Parallel training workshops will be organized and conducted at each Egyptian partner University. Feedback and lessons learned from other similar programs will be incorporated to fine-tune trainers’ know-how and extension of training material. Part of the training material will be adapted to be provided via its eLearning platform. To this end, training material will be developed and made available in English and Arabic languages.
This work package aims to provide high quality training at partner universities and working on education and support rural societies beneficiaries; students and graduates of plant protection specialties. All stakeholders will be acquainted with the necessary knowledge for improving the quality of the support services that will be provided through Plant Clinics. To provide effective and quality training, the consolidated training plan will be agreed at the national level. The extensive high-quality training will be provided by experienced EU partners and beneficiary staff as well as by public and private agriculture sectors. The training will be based on the results of WP1 and will follow the activities of WP2 to ensure cohesion among project activities. Training material will be available on the project website and, to provide effective and quality training, the consolidated training plan will be agreed at the national and regional level. The extensive high-quality training will be provided by experienced EU partner and beneficiary staff.
Experts from EU partners will participate in the training workshops (two sessions in each partner University).
Two activities; WP3.3 and WP3.4. apply training of staff in cooperation with EU partner experts from BG, HU and IT as added value by technology transfer to enhance capacity building in Egypt partner institutions and build PRO-PDCP program;
All partners will deliver training plan, agenda and reports to lead partner UNINA WPs of 3.5., 3.6., 3.7., 3.9. and 3.10. are local training in which each partner at EG will be implement without international mobility.
(P2-IT) to conclude this WP with deliverable indicators.
We will undertake training periods by EU and local experts exchange and subcontracts in the areas of topics need training.
Our associate partners (P10, P11, P12, P13) of Agriculture Research Centres at EG and EU will contribute in the project by provide resources in research stations and laboratories and invited experts for training activities. Also; the associate partners have strong extension system and facilities linked with stallholder at rural society more than HE that help in WP3 activities. Our Institutions has permanent bilateral links in research cooperation and business with associate partners that enable us to get such services as exchange of mutual benefits.

Developing technical quality: e.g. linking practitioners to share lessons learned and identify best practices Finally, the launch of the national network, detailed implementation plan, milestones, deliverables The agreement will cover all training activities to be implemented within the staff exchange which divided in three different stages: *Preparatory activities before the start of the exchange including practical arrangements, selection of staff, setting up of agreements with beneficiaries and participants, task-related preparation; * Implementation of joint training activities; * Follow-up at the end of the exchange experts including the evaluation of the activities, the formal recognition – where applicable – of the learning outcomes of participants during the activity, as well as the dissemination and use of the project’s outcomes. Description | Early in year1; Two training sessions last for 2 weeks each. In each of the training sessions, participants at each partner University in Egypt. The participants will be selected according to their, expertise and age. Therefore, selection criteria will be developed in the beginning of this WP3.1. The network partners must nominate staff members, who have profound English skills, the motivation to strengthen network activities and abilities to break down knowledge. The aim of these training sessions is to foster collaborations in new PRO-PDCP program among partners and to acquire recent experience and knowledge on Plant Clinics Modern Techniques.

Description | Training workshops for staff of registrar office by academic staff trained by EU experts;

The output is to establish: – The Help Desk (HD) consists from an administrative staff supported by some tutors of academic level. Description | Network developers; (Tech-staff) to complete training course (8-12 weeks in Egyptian partner universities) to be able to perform tasks in the design, installation, operation, and troubleshooting of Ethernet and TCP/IP Networks. Their role is to input data as pinpoint-mapped information on main server of plant health database, merged with information on disease/pest description, management, together with risk assessments of future likely threat, epidemiologic studies in time, with weather data to facilitate pest modelling studies.
– e-learning technical developer will be trained in E-Learning Centre belongs to each partner Univ. on different aspects of the e-learning system model (Course, Content, Unit, Communication, Interactivity, Hypermedia, Adaptively, Accessibility), which focuses on the most important pedagogical and didactical aspects to be considered in e-learning content design and implementation. Preparing eLearning materials, providing learning support and motivation, developing self-regulated learning, stimulating group work, promoting the transfer of learning to the concrete working situations and evaluating the learning process. – The e-Learning material (e.g. e-content) have elements of presentation, interactivity and communication and collaboration. – Adoption of e-learning by MOODLE Software |

Description | Description of task:
This Development activity linked with WP5 – Agreements signed with associate partners and companies from public or private sectors at Egypt that sponsored the students and the project will provide their needs of graduates to employ them. Also; to provide free service of advertising for those Agric. companies to benefit their facilities and services as contribution to students. This activity will be organized for the students under supervision of teachers to be in contact with actual and applied facts in the markets and; – To interact with real situation of the problems of crop protection methods and solutions applied in the farms of such private sectors with huge investments in Plant clinic for organic agriculture and production of crops for export without pesticides or chemicals. Description | This activity is determined to be in the end of diploma year after students pass all Diploma courses).
This Development activity linked with WP5 – First patch of students during the project life time will complete all training plan procedures of agreement, work plan, learning outcomes, evaluation, joint recognition of ECTS credit acquired by the student in case he need to get his traineeship at any Egypt partner university or associate partners for only traineeship purpose Acquired skills and experiences and system of internship as applied at EU partner will be applied for the students in the project to be self-independent at each partner university after project close.
All students will get local internship at their region (WP 3.9.) in collaboration with academic and field trainers (as practical and technology transfer) in point’s targeted important problem in private or public commercial farm, agric companies and experts from associate partners or other local private companies had agreement with partner universities for student’s internship period. – Student will make internship by stay in the place of job to analyse the problem and write a proposal of their diploma thesis. A discussion between the university and the local public or private agriculture enterprises to set the rules to carry out student projects and internship and to use the facilities at field locations and research labs. The positive results of all student internship will be used as a demonstration plots trial under real field situation under supervision of academic staff and with the help experts of Egyptian associate partners. |
